Pop Up Concert In Miami Beach

Miami is already a centre for all things creative in the area, abound with history and culture left over from its golden art deco days and now things are hotting up once more in the sunny surrounds of Miami Beach. It has been announced that two-hundred musical acts will participate in a unique, one-off pop up performance on the beach in what will be a meeting of musical minds on a huge scale.

A diverse mix singers, dancers, musicians and drummers will come together to perform live on Saturday evening in the iconic setting of Lincoln Road ad part of the Knight Foundation’s Random Acts of Culture. The performance though huge, will, in true pop up fashion, only last a matter of minutes – eight in fact – but will see an eclectic mix of Afro-Cuban drummers, choir r members, jazz dancers and classic musicians as they work together to perform a contemporary arraignment of Beethoven’s ‘Ode to Joy’ all brought together by conductor extraordinaire Sam Hyken of the Miami Music Project. The pop up event is being coordinated by the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, with this kind of pop up event also taking place in airports, trains and department stores.
